Annesbrook Church

Partnering with BlueBerry in 2013, Annesbrook Church had a desire to use Apple technology in all aspects of Church Administration and Support.

This required the development of a strategy to decommission the existing onsite server which meant engaging with the many and varied aspects of the Church in a journey to Cloud Services.

Leveraging the Microsoft Donations programme and implementing a staged migration, in 2018 Annesbrook Church were able to shut-down the server, marking the beginning of a new freedom from onsite services.

Annesbrook Church continue to lead the way, delivering streaming services between locations every Sunday and integrating technology into all aspects of Church life.

Bayleys Real Estate Marlborough

Due to rapid growth in the Marlborough market and a change of ownership within the business, Bayleys Marlborough had outgrown their existing IT provider and were looking for leadership to take them into the future.

Alongside Operational Support, the team at BlueBerry developed a plan that would help transition a very 20th century business model into the 21st century – a business no longer constrained by the bricks ‘n mortar approach of onsite servers and services to a fully mobile-capable business.

Today Bayleys Marlborough agents access their emails, listing information and all other relevant processes from anywhere at anytime and on the device of their choosing.

The key success factor in this journey has been the communications with the business throughout the different aspects of the project – at all times the people knew what was happening, how it would affect them and how to access help when it was needed.

Marlborough Museum

The Marlborough Museum provided the BlueBerry team with a different lens on how information is considered and managed in the world of preservation and digital archives.

This required a hybrid approach to the technologies that could be used with a mixture of both onsite and Cloud technologies providing the overall solution.

With the funding constraints of being a primarily community funded organisation, the development of the initial plan needed further prioritisation to allow maximum benefit of available budget.

Working with BlueBerry’s Account Management, The Marlborough Museum was able to execute a budget that focussed initially on improvements to the customer experience while continuing to build capability behind the scenes.

The budget and plan are now live documents that are managed by both partners and provide a blueprint for the Museum to utilise practical IT within a limited funding model.

Nelson Aviation College

Having outgrown the limitations of in-house support services, Nelson Aviation College engaged with BlueBerry in early 2017 and following the development of an initial 12 month road-map, have continued to develop their technology capability ranging from an upgrade to Flight Simulators at the Nelson Airport campus through to cloud-based management of Student Progression from head-office in Motueka.

Working with other regional partners, such as Neltech, BlueBerry have been able to improve the reach of information services to the Motueka campus which has increased both stability and availability of the network.

As the roll-out of Chorus’s Ultra-Fast Fibre extends into Motueka, the planned roadmap has aligned to the manageable life of the existing server infrastructure and, quite appropriately, the Nelson Aviation College will be able to move the majority of their Administration functions to The Cloud.

Ngāti Rārua Ᾱtiawa Iwi Trust

As one of BlueBerry’s strategic pillars, the engagement with iwi across the region is a key focus.

Ngāti Rārua Ᾱtiawa Iwi Trust was one of the first Iwi Trusts that BlueBerry works with to enable their Board members with iPads to access all relevant information digitally rather than the traditional approach of collation, printing, binding and distribution.

By implementing complimentary products such as Adobe Acrobat Pro to gather and collate the information and then using the capabilities of Microsofts Office 365 platform for publication and access while being able to implement security and compliance, Ngāti Rārua Ᾱtiawa Iwi Trust have enabled their Board Members to not only access the information easily but also to share and contribute in new ways.

One of the many success areas of this project was the engagement and support of the Board members by BlueBerry during a number of hui to ensure that any issues were resolved quickly meaning that adoption and use of the new information platform was high.
